WelcomeWelcome to Global Indiana: A Consortium for International Exchange! For the past seven years this organization has provided international study and travel opportunities to school administrators and teachers of public, private, and charter schools. From a cadre of educators who traveled to China together in 2006 came an incorporated, 501 (c) (3) nonprofit entity with more than 350 members and supporters. Our vision is as follows: To strengthen the relationships between Indiana and other world cultures through an exchange of people, ideas, and resources. To fulfill this mission, GI creates school-to-school partnerships in other countries. Global Indiana has organized ten trips to China and one to Germany. We continue to work with both government and private connections in Ecuador, Egypt, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, Liberia, and other countries with the goal of creating partners in those places as well.
