For Teachers:
- If you chose to use a placement agency, then fees should be listed on the agency website. (You can expect that you will be charged for formatting your resume, searching for jobs, assistance with state teaching licenses (and authenticating your college transcripts), and assistance in the US.)
- Global Indiana at The Sagamore Institute Visa Fees for Year 2020 and following are:
- Year 1: $1,300; Year 2: $1,300; Year 3: $1,300 Fees for the J2 visa are $500 per year. Fees for Year 4 and Year 5 include additional SEVIS fees. *fees are subject to change
- Fee for school transfer: $250 - due to the paperwork required for changing school placements, we are initiating a $250 change of school fee.
- We do not charge a recurring monthly fee for insurance, but you do need to provide proof that you have insurance.
- We can also assist you with job search and placement, cover letters, resume editing ($150), and obtaining work authorization for your dependents.
For Schools:
- There is a one time $125 fee to host an exchange teacher. You are welcome to pay the visa fees listed above for your teacher (some schools have budgeted this, others have not).
- If you would like additional support such as mentoring and coaching in the classroom, then there is an additional $1,800 fee. We don't want the fees to prohibit you from hosting a teacher, so we can work with your school.
How is Payment Made:
- We can accept school district checks, private payment via check, and we can issue an invoice via PayPal for credit card or debit card payments.
- If you need a copy of the W-9 in order to process payment, please let us know.
