Travel with Global Indiana to one of the world's developing nations. Participating educators will be immersed in the history, culture and language of Liberia, form partnerships with a faith-based NGO, Hope In the Harvest, and college, Liberian Christian College, and provide and support leadership training and teacher development. Global Indiana is an Indiana Department of Education partner in international education and has been approved to offer 45 professional growth experience points for the experience.

- Pre-trip fundraising support, orientation, On-site exchanges with Liberian educators and community leaders, school partnerships with official memorandums of understanding for future collaboration, comprehensive connections for future travel opportunities with students, feedback and ongoing program support.
Cultural Tours and Events
Participants will assist in a sustainable agricultural project in Ganta, as well as visits to the village, and exploring the capital city of Monrovia.

Cost
$3600 Global Indiana works alongside all interested travelers in raising funds for their trip. Email [email protected] to get started. *Cost includes: Airfare, Transfers to and from airport, Porterage, Overnights at Liberian International Christian College, All food, Pre-departure orientation, Experienced Hoosier trip leader. Does not include: Vaccines, Customary gratuities for guides and bus drivers, Passport fee (if you have to apply for a new passport), Visa, Personal and Trip Insurance, Public transportation to unscheduled activities.
$500 Deposit due by March 15, 2017 $250 Discount (each) for groups of 4 travelers of more from one school district |

A passport and a visa is required for this trip. If you do not have a passport, apply now. If this will be your first passport, go to http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_830.html for an application form and instructions. You must have your passport by April 1, 2017. Allow six weeks after applying for your passport to arrive. All Global Indiana study trips involve extensive walking. Travelers should be fit enough to keep up with the group. All activities are tentative based on information currently available. Global Indiana may change accommodations and attractions without notice.
